KNOW WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING AT

Clear data. Visible sources.

BlakeStack is an independent dashboard and tools hub for the Bitcoin BLAKE2b chain, often listed as XBT or BTCB2. We bring network observations and mining-pool terms into one useful view.

Network observations

Node sourced

Network data comes from BlakeStack’s configured Knots node. Collection runs independently of visits to this website. The first successful run records recent headers, and subsequent observations build a history. A syncing node does not publish live statistics.

Block height
The chain tip reported by the node at the time of collection. Recent blocks include only observed canonical headers.
Network hashrate
The node’s getnetworkhashps estimate over up to 120 BLAKE2b blocks. It estimates recent work; it is not a direct measurement of all mining hardware.
Average block time
Elapsed block timestamp time divided by the number of intervals across up to 121 consecutive stored headers. Timestamp noise can affect short windows.
Mempool transactions
Pending transactions visible to our node. Other nodes may have different mempools.
Freshness
Data becomes stale after five minutes without a new observation, or when collection fails. The age of a block is separate from the age of a sample. All displayed timestamps use UTC.
Chain reorganizations
Orphaned headers are retained and removed from the canonical view. Observations above the common ancestor are discarded. Changes beyond stored history require operator review.

The chain is checked first

A ticker alone cannot identify this network. Before storing observations, BlakeStack checks mainnet, the first BLAKE2b block at height 961,640, and the BLAKE2b difficulty field supplied by compatible Knots versions. Ordinary SHA256d Bitcoin data is not accepted.

Pool listings are an editorial comparison

Each listing includes the sources and date of its last review. We prefer a pool’s published terms over directory summaries. Missing fees remain unknown, and conflicting claims are flagged for review. Listings are an initial selection and are not ranked by sponsorship, hashrate or performance.

Reward maturity is a network rule, not a pool feature. Current rules distinguish coinbase creation heights and node wallet/mempool behavior. Use the current Knots documentation for a specific payout rather than assuming every reward follows the old 100-block rule.
